First Aid at Work – 3 Days

INTRODUCTION

Our new style First Aid at Work 3 day course in association with one of the largest first aid training providers in the UK, complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful students receive First Aid at Work Certificates to show that they are qualified to be First Aiders in the workplace for the next three years.

FOR WHOM INTENDED

All employers in the UK have a legal obligation to make First Aid provision for their employees, and in some cases for members of the public if they could be affected by the employer's activities. This course is ideal for those who are going to be a nominated First Aider in the workplace – or who want the most comprehensive introduction to First Aid.

WHAT WILL THEY LEARN?

The knowledge and confidence to deal with any First Aid emergency or incident.

COURSE CONTENT

• Dealing with accidents and illness
• Using First Aid kit contents
• Simple record keeping
• Resuscitation
• Treatment of an unconscious casualty
• Choking
• Treatment of heart attack
• Control of bleeding
• Burns and scalds
• Poisoning
• Fractures
• Shock

TRAINEE NUMBERS

Maximum 12 delegates per course.

ASSESSMENT

Continuous assessment by the trainer; and by a practical skills test. Successful candidates will receive an HSE-approved First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for three years.
